First off Big thanks and congratulations to all the parents, students and coaches that made 2019 our most successful year yet, 2018 we implement a new program and added to our schedule with amazing results and 2019 comes to a close with us positioned as the fastest growing and by far most decorated Kids bjj competition team in Mississauga...
We have individual student stats listed below at the bottom of this post and while this will be no easy feat to top it doesn’t mean we wont be trying in 2020 as this new year brings some solid upgrades to our academy with the following
- Youth striking and Jr MMA classes – Jiu-jitsu is a complete martial art, and while the sport grappling aspect is most known i’ve always felt as coach and practitioner that knowledge is power & for self defense or the ability to compete under mixed rules the ability to deal with punches and kicks of all types is such a powerful tool. As a result we’ve added our new youth karate/kickboxing/striking program. —> i’ll get into details later about what this isnt karate as you’ve come to know it yet at the same time now kickboxing or muay thai but instead a unique striking system covering all the bases a student needs.

- New Teens and competition stream classes – often in martial arts the age group of 12 -16 is overlooked as they are too large to work with the smaller students and still not quite mature enough to train with the adults, but with the growth of the program @ elite we have taken the step to add a new class for this age group allowing them to train and develop their knowledge and abilities under the guidance of our coaching staff with age approriate classes
- Scheduled testing dates- Life happens, and as a result we fell a bit off schedule with the belt promotions planned for the year , to avoid this happening in the future we’ll be releasing the competition and belt test schedules for 2020 in the month of January giving both parents and student’s plenty of advance notice on events coming up.
