Elite training centre partners with Matmen wrestling club
It’s been a few weeks that I‘ve been talking about upcoming changes and additions at the academy and with October soon coming to an end its time we start laying out the upcoming plans.
Starting this weekend Elite training centre is proud to be announcing our new partnership with the city of Mississauga’s Matmen wrestling program.
Matmen is one of the countries most prestigious wrestling clubs, home to multiple provincial and national men’s and women’s champions as well as Pan-American champions and medalists. Matmen’s athletes are highly sought after by university programs and many of them have received scholarships to continue wrestling for their chosen educational institutes.
The club’s current coaching staff includes 15 fully accredited coaches with a number of new and developing assistant coaches. . Between all of our coaches there is more than a century of “on the mat experience”. The coaches are all volunteers and are involved because of their love of the sport and their commitment to their community by passing on values to the next generation looking to learn the sport
The new program will be run by the city of Mississauga and Matmen with Elite training centre as partner facility hosting the training sessions.

I have known Coach Greg Cappuccitti (aka CAP) for the past 15 or so years and partnered with him in building a previous martial arts and wrestling program so I am very happy to welcome CAP and the entire matmen team to elite training centre.
If you are a member of Elite training centre participating in any of the grappling programs I highly recommend you take advantage of the training to develop the balance , reactions an intensity only wrestling can bring to your overall grappling training.
