Introducing The New addition to the Team At Elite training centre, Podcaster, Author, Muay Thai official and student of the art coach  Ryan Mckinnon —- >> check out his website here

Hey everyone from Team Elite! For those of you who have yet to meet me in person, I’d like to take advantage of this platform to introduce myself. Recently I’ve begun teaching Muay Thai in the 8pm time slot on Monday and Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 am.

I will also be observing, conducting and joining sparring sessions beginning this weekend. I started practicing Muay Thai in 2008 at Lanna MMA (formerly Lanna Muay Thai) in North York after 8 years of studying Shorin-ryu Karate. I have been blessed with exceptional opportunities to train with some of Canada’s best Muay Thai athletes and coaches.

In 2011, I traveled and trained throughout Thailand for 6 weeks, mainly with Ajahn Burklerk Pinsinchai. I am also an official with Muay Thai Ontario, the amateur organization for Muay Thai in the province.

When I’m not at Elite, I train some of the younger competition team members at Lanna MMA. If I have any free time left, I am usually ‘nerding’ out on Muay Thai and MMA videos & news or listening to the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. I enjoy long walks on the beach, single malt scotch, house music, 90’s R&B and Hip Hop, puppies, and rock climbing. I am extremely excited to make the most of this opportunity to teach and learn from each and every one of you. I observe a very open-minded and progressive style of practicing Muay Thai, and want to build upon the lessons that were taught by Kru DJ.

I encourage everyone to join my classes, and welcome your feedback. Please feel free to add me on social media. I’d like us all to have an open conversation about Muay Thai and it’s principles, concepts, and training methodologies. I want to know all of your respective goals, and work with you personally to achieve the results you want. Thank you to Claude and everyone for welcoming me into your school! Let’s grow together!!

Ryan was really humble in this post and forgot to mention his great podcast and website “The Bloody Ballet”. A true student of the art we are really lucky to have him and Kru Jordan at Lanna mma working with the Mississauga Muay thai program
